Puppet edits: how to

Thursday 24 December 2015

The following two photos took around 45 mins each to edit on Photoshop. The model was sitting on a table with a white board on it, with a white backdrop also. The edges of both photos showed the rest of room so I selected them with a marquee tool, right clicked then filled them with the content aware tool. The content aware tool fills the space selected with the nearest surroundings of the photograph. I then turned the saturation of both the photos down, as well as playing with the levels until I was happy.  The hand and the strings were added to new layers and I also turned the saturation down to match the rest of the photo. To make the photos look slightly more realistic (I know they are not my best edits) I added shadows to the top layers to add depth.

Taken on Canon 1100D, edited on Photoshop CC.

All photos taken myself. I do not own the copyright of the strings.
